Fewer showers today, wind easing
by Emma JessonIn general, today is a much better day than of late.
Odd showers around this morning, sharper showers around Lincolnshire and the East Midlands. Mainly fine and bright though at first.
Best temperatures in the south through the afternoon 19 or 20c, 68f, with odd showers through the Derbyshire Peak District, breeze turning NW’erly.
The start of the coming week looks dry and reasonably bright. Sunshine for Monday and Tuesday, and feeling more humid Tuesday and Wednesday.
For Wednesday itself, some rain early on, sunshine developing later, though still a fair veil of cloud around.
