Shirley and Peter Chapman from Derby have been sentenced to 12 weeks in prison. Both pleaded guilty to a number of offences of causing unnecessary suffering to a number of dogs and failing to provide adequate parasitic control in respect of twenty dogs and one cat.
3 weeks has been taken off for pleading guilty.They will serve half of that sentence In Jail before being released on license. If they breach any terms they will serve the remainder of their sentence.
The couple has also been disqualified from owning or keeping animals for life.
