The family of a murdered pensioner from Northamptonshire has offered a ten thousand pound reward for information about his killer.
The body of 76-year-old Karoly Varga was found at his home in Wellingborough on July 30th last year.
The case against a 47-year-old man who was charged with the murder has been dropped.
The 76-year-old Hungarian, known as Charlie, had been struck a number of times with an axe-like weapon, which has never been found.
The grandfather had lived in Northamptonshire for more than thirty years.
He was popular and well known locally - often helping other Hungarian's adjust to life in England.
His family say their lives have been torn apart by his murder.
Detectives believe Charlie may have known his killer, which they say is a fact which makes it even more difficult for his family to accept.
