A fine day yesterday, but downhill again today
by Emma Jesson
Weatherwise, yesterday was one of the pleasantest days we've had for a while.
The weather is now on the slide again however, and today is a bit of a write off.
Lots of cloud and rain around this morning, the rain proving patchy but persistent.
The SW’erly winds will be picking up, and we’ll see the odd heavier burst around.
Little change through the afternoon, but showers may lighten up a little in the W or SW of the region as heavier bursts push NE’wards.
Temperatures disappointingly below average at 19c, 66f. The average for the time of year is nearer 21 or 22c, 72f.
By this evening it will become largely dry in the SW.
Tuesday is also cloudy with another band of rain across the Central region. You probably won’t notice the difference though.
Rain at times, breezy, feeling warmer than today.
Wednesday looks messy. Low pressure is in charge giving showers or longer spells of rain. Lots of persistent rain replaced later by heavy showers.
Thursday may see a slight improvement with sunny spells interrupting the cloud and showers, but it could feel cooler.
