Birmingham school children watch US Olympic team train
Hundreds of school children could get the chance to see some of the fastest men in the world today.
A training session for the USA Track and Field team will be held at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.
The city is playing host to training camps for both the USA and Jamaica teams in the build-up to the London Games.
The lucky pupils will be hoping to get a glimpse of gold medal hopefuls Tyson Gay and Justin Gaitlin, but the identity of the USA athletes who will attend today's training session is being kept secret and won't be confirmed until later today.
Every school in Birmingham was able to nominate 15 pupils and two members of staff to attend two open training sessions, the first of which is being held today.
At least a thousand schoolchildren will be at the session, in the the newly refurbished Alexander Stadium.
The pupils are expected to take part in a number of sporting activities, before watching the training session and seeing some of the USA's finest athletes carrying out their final preparations for London.
