The families of three friends killed during last August's riots in Birmingham have spoken for the first time since eight men were cleared of murder.
Haroon Jahan and brothers Shazad Ali and Abdul Musavir died after being hit by a car as they tried to protect businesses from looters in the Winson Green area of the city.
Eight men accused of murdering them were acquitted by a jury last Thursday (July 19), following a three-month trial at Birmingham Crown Court.
Tariq Jahan, the father of Haroon, said lawyers had been instructed to review a criminal trial which saw eight men cleared of murder - leaving the victims' families in "utter shock and despair".

"The community did not let us down. The law however, has."
"Our sense of disappointment and regret over this verdict cannot be stated in words."
