A baby boy has died, and a a two-year-old girl is in a critical condition, after a crash in Leicester this morning.
The crash happened at the junction of Narborough Road and Braunstone Gate and involved a two cars and four pedestrians.
A boy, aged one, and a girl, aged 2, suffered serious injuries and were taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The boy has since died and the girl remains in a critical condition.
Two other pedestrians, both men, received minor injuries.
A 40-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.
The scene remains cordoned off to allow officers to carry out their investigations, the roads surrounding the scene have also been closed off.
