Two children both under the age of 2 have been killed following a car crash in Leicester.
It happened at the junction of Narborough Road and Braunstone Gate and involved a dark BMW, a red Mini Cooper and two pedestrians who were with two children in pushchairs.
The children, a one-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl, received serious injuries and were taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The boy died yesterday afternoon and the girl died during the night.
The two pedestrians, both men aged 29 and 28, received minor injuries.
A 40-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man were arrested in connection with the incident and have since been released on police bail.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
