Massive fire at Coventry timber warehouse

There are now 74 firefighters tackling a blaze at a warehouse in Coventry.

The fire started around 5pm today on the ground floor of a woodworking machinery factory called Ney Ltd on Siskin Drive in Coventry.

12 people were inside the building- but all of them escaped safely.

The fire measures approximately 200m sq.

Firefighters are looking to secure a substantial water supply from a local canal to help tackle the blaze.

West Midlands Fire Service are encouraging people living nearby to keep their windows closed. They're advising anyone driving in the area to find alternative routes.

It's not yet known how the fire was started.
