Construction continues at a major regional business and innovation hub in Staffordshire.
i54 South Staffordshire was chosen by Jaguar Land Rover as its base for the new advanced engine plant.
£335 million will be invested into the new facility, creating 750 jobs on site.
It's thought that more manufacturing companies will follow, alongside Moog and Eurofins who are already based onsite with JLR.
Leaders from local councils toured the site today to see how the work was progressing.
As a result, there will be a new access bridge across the M54, and work on a new motorway junction will start in October.
It will be the biggest highway construction project carried out by the county council.
– Philip Atkins, Staffordshire County Council
It is rewarding to see it as an active location for leading business and job creation.
We can now see our vision for i54 South Staffordshire being fulfilled.
Our next big job is to construct the new slip road off junction 2, which is a significant project."
