Thousands of visitors visited The Victory Show 2012 this weekend to soak up some 1940's nostalgia.

The show in Cosby in Leicestershire is one of the biggest Second World War re-enactment and military display shows in the Midlands.

There were between 400 and 500 tanks, planes, trucks and motorcycles, plus 60 stalls.

The stars of the show were the aircraft. The Vulcan bomber, Spitfires and only remaining Hurricane fighter in the country were all on display and took to the skies in perfect flying weather.

The Hurricane was a veteran of the Battle of Britain, where it shot down five enemy planes. It's been rebuilt four times and has had five Rolls Royce Merlin III engines, but is still wowing the crowds.
