Plans to relocate the Glenfield Heart Unit could be reviewed
The Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt, has asked for an initial review of plans to relocate the children's congenital heart and ECMO services from Glenfield to Birmingham Children's Hospital.

It comes after a call for a review from the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Health, Overview and Scrutiny Committee, which wrote to Mr Hunt earlier this month.
– City Cllr Michael Cooke"This is very good news. We currently have more than 68,000 signatures, but if the total reaches 100,000 the matter will be debated in the House of Commons."
