The repatriation of a Nuneaton serviceman is due to take place today.
Sergeant Jonathan Eric Kups of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (Reme) died on Friday (21 September). The MoD said his death was not thought to be the result of hostile action, though an investigation into the circumstances was continuing.
The 38-year-old father of three was an electronics technician and has been described by his commanding officer as "a man of real substance".
His body will be brought home to RAF Brize Norton, with the aircraft scheduled to land at 1:30pm today.
Following a private ceremony at RAF Brize Norton, due to start at 2:30 pm, the cortege will make its way to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, via the Memorial Garden.
