The Nottingham Forest Academy is to be officially renamed the Nigel Doughty Academy this morning, in memory of Doughty, who passed away earlier this year.
The father-of-four was found collapsed in the gym of his home in Skillington, Grantham in Lincolnshire earlier this year.
Doughty saved the club from administration when he bought it in 1999.
When fans heard the news, tributes poured in to the chairman.
In July the club's new owners, the Kuwaiti-based Al-Hasawi family, took control after buying Doughty's controlling stake in Nottingham Forest. They also paid tribute to his work:
– Al-Hasawi family
"It is an honour and privilege for the Al-Hasawi family to assume control of this great club steeped in history and with the outstanding legacy left by its previous owner Nigel Doughty. We know there are challenging times ahead of us to bring the club back to its glory days and we look forward with excitement towards a new successful future."
