Two thousand year old human remains have been found in Clifton, where the Highways Agency is widening the A453.

Archaeologists say pottery and jewellery have also been found at the early Roman settlement.

The bones, which are thought to date back to the 1st century, were uncovered at two separate locations during preparatory work to turn the road into a dual carriageway.
