Mild start, cold end to the week
A slow start to the weather today; lots of cloud, bits of dampness but nothing too heavy. Generally gloomy.
Little changes this afternoon; cloudy, misty, murky and damp.Later on, the south and east of the region starts to dry up a little, but we keep the cloud and mild air, highs touching 16c in places, 61f, but more generally settling around 13 or 14c. Virtually no wind.
Make the most of these temperatures because we plunge from highs in the mid-teens celsius to around 7 or 8c on Friday!
Tuesday and Wednesday, the cloudy, gloomy theme continues. Any rain and drizzle will have nuisance value rather than anything else. Mild days, odd brighter breaks but mainly cloudy, no frost by night, with a similar outlook for Thursday.
Then we feel the real drop in temperatures on Friday and over the weekend; brighter weather with brisk winds and much colder air streaming in. Be prepared!
