Police have started a murder inquiry after a house fire in Edgbaston, which left one woman dead and three other people needing treatment in hospital.
Police and firefighters were called to the house on Speedwell Road at around 07.00 this morning (5 November).
Two people had jumped from the building, while a third was rescued by firefighters.
The two women, aged 55 and 23, and one man, aged 34, being treated in hospital are not thought to be in a life-threatening condition.
Police are urging anyone who may have been on Speedwell Road just before 07.00 to contact them. Officers are also carrying out house-to-house inquiries.
Forensic teams remain on the scene, working with the Fire Service to establish what caused the fire.
