This afternoon we'll see some good holes punched in the cloud with highs of 13 or 14c, but you will need some decent sunny spells to achieve those values. Winds gentle SW'erly, with a bright feel to the latter part of the day. Best sunshine through the East Midlands.
Overnight it will turn quite misty and foggy again with a grey start on Wednesday but brightening later. Feeling pleasantly mild, breeze blowing from a more continental direction.
Again, it could turn very foggy on Wednesday night and that will be slow to clear on Thursday morning as it will be less windy. There should be some sunny spells later, though it is less likely to be bright than it will be on Tuesday or Wednesday. Where the fog lingers it will feel cold and dank.
Then on Friday, with low pressure developing to the SW of the UK there will potentially be some rain through the East Midlands with heavier rain likely through the West Midlands. Breeze increasing however, so we lose the fog.
