The worst of the wind is behind us now today but it will remain unsettled for the next 24 hours. A big contrast to the weather we had at the back end of the weekend.
Continuing cloudy for the rest of today with the heaviest rain pushing eastwards. By the time the rain reaches the East Midlands this afternoon, it will not be especially heavy, but the breeze will be increasing through the East Midlands all the same, not especially strong gusts though.
Temperatures increasing later in the day as milder air floods in, highs of 9/10 degrees, 50 fahrenheit.
Those values don't drop much tonight - a very mild one! Lows of 8/9 degrees, 48 fahrenheit.
The wet and windy weather trudges eastwards so the East Midlands sees rainfall increase overnight, on and off. It will be quite breezy here.
In the West Midlands at first, the rain clears, wind eases, breaks start to appear. Then the next front starts in from the SW during the early hours.
