Wet and windy weather spreading
Wet and windy weather is spreading south and eastwards today. The rain is quite patchy and light but we can't rule out a heavy burst. It's windy too with gusts of 25 mph in some locations. Temperatures are above the seasonal average at 13c but it feels cooler than that in all the elements.
This evening will stay cloudy and wet as the rain continues it's journey south. Staffordshire and Shropshire will start to see some drier weather as the rain clears but elsewhere overnight the rain will become quite heavy for a time. The wind will ease overnight and will be frost free. Lows of 8c in towns and cities, 5 in rural spots.
Tomorrow morning expect another grey and damp start, eastern parts seeing the worst of the rain, western areas seeing a gradual improvement. By tomorrow afternoon everywhere will be dry and sunny too, it will feel cooler but with the lighter winds and sunshine a much better day than today. Highs of 10c.
Thursday will be dry and bright to begin with before more rain moves in from the west, it will be windy again too. Friday looks to be a wash out as that rain spreads eastwards, the wind will be lighter though. It will also feel cool. Saturday will be a much brighter and drier day.
