Feeling colder this week
by Jo Blythe
The remnants of Sunday nights rain will linger in the north for a time. Elsewhere things will brighten up with drier conditions.
Showers will crop up across the Midlands during Monday afternoon. Southern and eastern parts may hold on to some drier brighter weather. Winds begin to swing into a northerly quarter by evening making it feel chillier.
A colder feel to the weather as the week develops. Showers on higher ground could turn wintry from Wednesday, chiefly in the Peak District and Lincolnshire Wolds.
