After a mostly fine day, bitterly cold and icy tonight.

The worst of any rain is behind us for today. Just a few wintry flurries over the Wolds of Lincolnshire this afternoon, but nothing settling.
Mostly dry with unbroken sunshine then for the rest of the day, feeling cold, with tops of 5 or 6c 43f, made to feel colder by the N/NW wind.
Tonight, we expect a widespread ground frost and icy stretches as lows fall away to minus 4c. Dry and clear, but with wintry showers possibly fringing into Lincolnshire at times, giving a yellow 'Be Aware' warning of more severe icy stretches here.
