No let up in rain with more forecast
by Lucy Kite
There is no let up in the rain over the next 48 hours with Low Pressure feeding us one band after another. The rain from this morning is gradually clearing leaving us with drier conditions in the west.
Drizzly rain in the North Midlands is likely to continue through the day. Temperatures will reach 8/9c this afternoon.
Apart from the odd spot of drizzle tonight will be mostly dry until about midnight when the next band of rain will make headway from the west.
The rain will be lighter than today but the wind will increase overnight. Expect a frost-free night.
Tomorrow morning will be cloudy and wet, a few drier interludes will develop in the afternoon and it will remain windy. The rain is dragging in milder air so we will see highs of 12c.
T
omorrow night a heavier band of rain will head our way and give us a wet start to Saturday. It will soon clear through to leave us with a dry and bright day, it will still be breezy though.
Sunday is looking mostly dry and bright after a cold and frosty start.
Looking further ahead to New Years Eve and it will be another wet one with rain expected overnight on Sunday into Monday.
