Birmingham Dogs Home says it has been inundated with stray and abandoned dogs this Christmas.
The kennels says over the festive period it has seen between ten and fifteen dogs coming in, when usually it's between five and eight.
Currently it's housing 117 dogs and now only has three kennels free, with staff working round the clock to care for all the animals.
Managers at the Dogs Home said it believed many of the stray dogs were abandoned as owners weren't coming forward to collect their pets.

Although most of the stray dogs are older, a litter of puppies was dumped at the kennels just before Christmas.
