A special service will be held at Leicester Cathedral today following the death of a woman who was gang raped in Delhi, north India.
The 23-year old woman died of her injuries at a hospital in Singapore where she was receiving specialist treatment.The attack took place on a moving bus.
Police say the woman and her companion were beaten with iron bars before they were thrown out of the vehicle.
Six men have been charged with murder.
Thousands of people have joined protests across India over attitudes towards women in the country.
The service in Leicester starts at 2pm. Organisers say it's aim is to pay tribute to a young woman who endured an horrific ordeal and lost her life in such tragic circumstances.
