After a misty, frosty night it's a chilly start to this morning. Overnight temperatures dropped to freezing in some parts of the region, with mist and fog patches developing and some of that will be slow to clear this Wednesday morning.

It's a waiting game as to how quickly the mist will lift as winds fall light. There is also a questionmark over how soon the rain will clear the far SE'ern corner of the region, but we are hopeful that all parts will be dry by mid-morning with localised sunny spells, and fog patches should lift by lunchtime.

This should mostly have cleared by Friday morning, weather improving from the west through the day with lighter winds.Saturday. The trend is for cooler weather into the weekend with increasing mist and frost by night. Drier on Sunday, 4 or 5c by day.
