Cooling off day by day as we coast towards weekend. The cold we are feeling now is mainly down to cloudy, damp, 'dank' conditions and lingering mist and fog. The 'cold' we feel at weekend will be attributed to a change in wind direction to a bitter easterly - and you know what they say about the easterly wind... it doesn't blow round you, it goes straight through you. Much colder by Sunday.
After a frosty night with some mist and fog patches, it's a grey and gloomy start to Thursday. Feeling noticeably cooler with any fog taking a while to lift.
Little changes this afternoon, it's a slow-moving day with very light winds. Possibly some glimmers of brightness, mist patches also lingering though. Temperatures suppressed under the low cloud.
Tonight a front comes through, but also weakens, so there'll be less in the way of mist and fog tonight. Lots of cloud with odd spots of drizzle.
Friday - cloudy start, spots of rain and drizzle. Dull through the day. Light winds. Cool.More persistent rain overnight into Saturday.
Saturday - heavy rain from the SW moving NE'wards so wet everywhere. Colder air moving in so precipitation could turn wintry on leading edge.
Sunday - the raw easterly wind digs in. Dry with some bright weather around. Best sun further west. Cloudier through the east. Bitterly cold.
