Birmingham churches offer winter shelter for homeless
Churches in Birmingham are joining together to offer a winter shelter to the homeless in the city.
The shelter will open from today for the next six weeks.
Volunteers will keep the shelters running, offering hospitality and overnight accommodation to up to 10 homeless people.
The shelter can be accessed through the SIFA Fireside day centre.
A wide range of Christian churches are taking part including Anglicans, Baptists, Roman Catholics and Methodist churches.
