Two yellow warnings remain in places from the Met. Office across the midlands.
Snow - Up to 5 cm could fall by the end of today across the East Midlands and also for North Shropshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire. For the Lincolnshire Wolds and Peak District up to 8 cm could fall by tomorrow morning.
Ice - Slippery conditions remain widespread, and the warning exists again tomorrow. Roads and pavements will be icy.
This week our weather is set to remain very cold. Temperatures during the day will not exceed 2 or 3 c and by night widespread severe frosts are expected. After tomorrow conditions are expected to become drier lessening the likelihood of snow. At this stage there is the potential for another snow event by next weekend.
