Full details: Prince Charles in the Midlands
The Prince of Wales will visit Staffordshire and Northamptonshire today as part of a two-day tour celebrating UK manufacturers.
He will visit the country's last working Victorian pottery, Middleport, in Burslem, Stoke on Trent, and shoemakers Crockett and Jones in Northamptonshire.
He has a particular interest in Middleport, which is the home of Burleigh Ware. His charity, The Prince's Regeneration Trust (PRT), stepped in during 2011 to save 50 jobs and has since secured £9 million to refurbish the site and ensure future production. It is his second visit in two years.
The Prince will then travel to Northampton where he will visit the manufacturers Crockett and Jones.
Charles will meet staff and be given a tour of the factory which has made shoes for more than 130 years.
