Temperatures are taking a dip over the next few days as the wind swings around from a south-westerly to cold northerly. We also have more rain on the way. A Yellow Alert has been issued for this rain tomorrow and for strong winds across the East Midlands this afternoon. Gusts of 60mph quite possible.
We should all se some good spells of sunshine this afternoon, mixed in with occasional showers. Temperatures will reach 9c.
This evening will be dry before the next band of rain moves in from the south west in the early hours. The northern extent of the rain is uncertain but many places will see rain overnight it will be cloudy too. Lows of 2c possible in the north.
Tomorrow will be cloudy at first with outbreaks of rain but it will turn brighter through the day although still a few showers possible in the afternoon. It won't be as windy but it will feel colder with highs of 7c.
Expect a cold Friday night and a dry and sunny Saturday for most the exception being Lincolnshire which may wake up to a dusting of snow blown in off the North Sea. Temperatures will drop to 3/4c and it will feel even colder in the wind.
It will turn cooler again for Sunday and we'll see more rain too.
