The rest of the week will feel very cold with a biting wind. There will be occasional snow flurries for eastern counties today, tonight and tomorrow.

East Midlands, Thursday night

A widespread frost, and light snow flurries for Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.

West Midlands, Thursday night

Mainly dry for western areas, occasional clear spells. The odd wintry flurry for Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire. A widespread frost.

East Midlands, Friday morning

Rather cloudy. Light snow flurries at times for eastern counties.

West Midlands, Friday morning

Rather dull, occasional brightness. Very light snow flurries for Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.

East Midlands, Friday afternoon

Cloudy, with light snow flurries cropping up anywhere during the afternoon. The biting wind will make 2 c feel like -4 c.

West Midlands, Friday afternoon

Cloudy with occasional very light snow flurries. Mainly dry and very cold. 2 or 3 c will feel more like -2 or -3 c in the cold wind.
