I cannot emphasise enough how cold it's going to feel over the next 24 hours.
More snow flurries to come throughout the rest of today, but they'll be fairly light. A biting wind however makes temps of 3 or 4c feel more like sub-zero values. The average for the time of year for our part of the world is 8.8c. The wintry mix of rain, sleet and snow continues all day, a touch milder in the south-west of the region, so more in the way of rain or sleet there.
It will be bitterly cold tonight with a sharp, widespread frost with icy patches where we've had showers today and where we get wintry showers tonight, which could be anywhere. Lows plunge to -4c or thereabouts, and tomorrow with the wind chill it will feel more like -5 or -6c.
