It's hard to believe with all the beautiful sunshine this morning but today we start to see a breakdown in the weather conditions as low pressure which is currently sat over Iceland moves towards the UK. This will allow weather fronts to move in - bringing cloud, rain and a gusty wind.
For the majority of today it will be dry and bright, in fact we'll enjoy some good spells of sunshine. However, that sunshine will turn hazy through this afternoon as cloud rolls in from the north-west. Shropshire and Staffordshire could see a few spots of light rain where the cloud is thick enough. Temperatures will be around 5/6c so still below average for the time of year. By teatime many places will see light rain and drizzle.
Tonight expect outbreaks of rain on and off, temperatures will hold up above freezing so it won't be as chilly as the past few nights.
Tomorrow we will wake up to a cloudy, grey start with drizzly rain, it'll be windy too. By lunchtime the rain will be heavier and more persistant. It will be a cloudy and wet drive home from work and school tomorrow. Temperatures will hit 7c.
The rain will hang around tomorrow night so if you are heading out it's worth taking a brolly!
The weekend looks better than we first expected. It will be a case of sunshine and showers on Saturday and Sunday, so not completely dry but at least we will enjoy some brightness. Temperatures will be a couple of degrees below the seasonal average. As we move through to next week it will turn cooler once again.
