Brighter behind this morning's showers.
by Emma Jesson
The Central region is now post-front, this morning's cold front being well away to the east as you can see; it's the band of rain brushing through Suffolk.
Skies are brighter behind the front, but still with a few showers here and there, some heavier ones through the south of the region. Drier further north.
Temps settle around 7 or 8c today, a few degrees below average but it could be worse. Little bit of a southerly breeze, with showers continuing in places this evening. A few creeping into the north, with a wintry element at higher levels and ice during the early hours where there were earlier showers.
