Champions last year, Warwickshire learned almost immediately how difficult it is to keep a winning formula when head coach, Ashley Giles, was snapped up by England.

In his place, however, comes Dougie Brown, an appointment from within which is a sign that The Bears are hoping to stick to what made them champions.

Warwickshire have made very few signings this year and will be hoping their side can recover the same consistency as last year.

But success in the county game is generally followed by national call-ups for the best players and Warwickshire could struggle if the likes of Chris Woakes and Chris Wright are needed by England.

Six foot eight Hannon-Dalby has long been talked about as having the potential to become a top bowler in the country. But since bursting onto the scene with five wickets in his innings debut, has struggled to establish himself.

If the likes of Wright, Woakes and Clarke do earn England calls, Warwickshire will need their younger bowlers to step up if they stand a chance of defending their title.
