After a lively day of weather yesterday with the strong wind and heavy showers, this weekend on the whole is looking far more settled. High Pressure is building and that is good news as it's keeping the weather fronts at bay and bringing light winds and sunshine. Before we see a gradual break down on Sunday as a Cold Front moves in from the West bringing cloud and light rain later in the day.
This afternoon it's a case of sunny spells and showers. The showers will be heaviest in the east early afternoon. After that they will gradually start to ease. There will be some breaks in the cloud and some sunshine on offer. The wind is so much lighter than yesterday, so although temperatures are a touch lower it will feel less cold.
This evening will be lovely and bright before sunset and temperatures take a tumble. They will hold up above freezing but at 2c it will be cold enough for a touch of frost. The winds will become even lighter and as such we may see a few mist patches forming. The skies will clear overnight and that is good news for tomorrow.
A cold but cheerful start to the weekend is what you can expect. Wall to wall blue sky and sunshine to kick start our weekend. The sun is strong this time of year so temperatures will climb quickly to highs of 13c. It's worth remembering that you may need sunscreen if you're out in the sunshine. The light winds mean tomorrow will be a beautiful spring day.
Saturday night will be another cold and frosty one but dry everywhere before cloud begins to roll in from the West during Sunday on that Cold Front. The West Midlands will wake up to more cloud than Saturday but the East Midlands will be sunnier. Before all parts see cloud and drizzly rain moving in through the afternoon.
So far Monday looks bright and dry before another weather front moves through late afternoon, early evening.
Tuesday will be drier and brighter plus it will feel much milder too.
