A pianist from Palestine who has played around the world thanks in part to fundraising by people from Staffordshire, is returning to perform a special concert tonight.
Bishara Haroni and his wife Adi will be performing a piano and violin concert which they say is a thank you to all the people that supported Mr. Haroni in his musical career.
Bernard and Sheila Moss led several pilgrimages to the Middle East twenty years ago where they saw eleven year-old Bishara Haroni perform.
They helped to raise £10k to buy a grand piano which they shipped out to the country, allowing him to join the Jerusalem Conservatoire and reach the standard he has achieved today.
Mr. Haroni has now appeared at the Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall in last year's Proms, and has toured in China, Australia and Mexico as well as Europe and Israel.
He has played under Sir Simon Rattle and receives piano lessons from Daniel Barenboim.
Donations will be sent to ARCH - North Staffordshire's Stepping Stones Appeal to support children who are the forgotten victims of domestic violence, and to Medical Aid for Palestine.
