On the third anniversary of the death of 20-year-old Ricky Burlton, police are issuing more details about the man wanted in connection with their inquiries.
Ricky died after a road traffic accident which happened on June 4, 2010 on the A10 southbound carriageway exit slip road at Hoddesdon.
Since that time the police and Ricky’s family have made several appeals for details about the whereabouts of a man driving a white Rover involved in the crash.
The man had been residing in Hertford under the false Greek identity of Georgios Tsoulos. He went missing as a friend took him from Chase Farm Hospital to Moorfields in London for treatment after the accident on June 4, 2010, and has not been seen since.
– Detective Chief Inspector Sharn Basra from the Joint Major Crime Unit
We can now confirm the true identity of the man we want to speak to in connection with this investigation. The man is 34 year old Alexi Shyti and he is from Albania. We believe he is currently living in the Ngracan, Fier region of Albania.
Officers have been carrying out extensive inquiries to trace Alexi Shyti, which include working with the authorities in Albania.
I would also urge anyone in this country who has any knowledge of the whereabouts of Alexi Shyti to contact police. He had connections to Hertfordshire, North London and Loughborough in Leicestershire and people in these areas may have information to assist or any information which would assist police inquiries to contact police or Crimestoppers.
I would also like to thank Ricky’s family for their patience and support as part of this complex investigation. They have shown true strength in what has been an extremely difficult time.
