Turning unsettled and cooler for the weekend.
It's all change with the weather this weekend, we lose the warm continental airflow and look to the Atlantic for our weather. Low Pressure is heading our way, that will dominate everything over the coming days. It will bring us showers and longer spells of rain, a breeze and cooler temperatures too.
For the rest of today we can make the most of the longest day with some sunny spells especially through this evening. This afternoon there is always the chance of a catching a shower, if we do they are likely to be very heavy with up to 20mm possible in one hour. It will still feel warm through this afternoon with highs of 20 or 21c.
Tonight wet and windy weather will sweep west to east, it will feel mild but not as humid as the past few nights.
Tomorrow will be cloudy and grey for us all with steady rain across the East Midlands and patchy rain further West. It will be windy too. In the afternoon the rain will clear only to be replaced with heavy showers from the South-West. It will feel cooler too than of late too with temperatures dropping to the mid teens.
Sunday with be a day of bright spells and showers and it will remain windy with a fresher feel.
