High pressure controls our weather over the next 48 hours bringing us settled conditions before it slips away into the Atlantic and allows low pressure to move in and a gradual decline in the weather.
As for today the cloud will build but we will still enjoy some sunny spells. The wind will remain light and temperatures will rise to 19c. There is a very small risk of catching a shower this afternoon.
This evening will be fine and dry with patchy cloud overnight and lows of 8c in the West Midlands and 10c in the East Midlands.
Tomorrow in the North Midlands there will be more cloud than this morning, the best of the sunshine will always be further south. The sunny spells will extend everywhere through the afternoon. There is a greater risk of catching a shower tomorrow but it will feel slightly warmer with highs of 20c.
On Thursday we will see the cloud build but it will stay warm. Overnight patchy rain will move in which means a drizzly start on Friday. It will be an improving picture through the day on Friday.
So far the weekend looks cloudy with the best of the brightness in the east and highs of 22c.
Pollen levels will be high throughout this week.
