High pressure seems to be holding on forever! Hot and sunny again today and it looks like staying that way throughout the coming week.

The Met Office have issued a level 2 Heat-health watch warning. More details on their website www.metoffice.gov.uk.

For medical advice about how hot weather can affect your health click on www.nhs.uk, ring NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or visit www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk or your local pharmacist.

Low cloud washed in across the East Midlands this morning, especially parts of Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire, but it's burning back all the while.

This afternoon there will be lots of sunshine around, but it won't be completely unbroken. Sunniest through the North Midlands. Highs today of 28c 82f, maybe nudging 29 or 30c in the East Midlands again, and with a lighter breeze, it will feel warmer than yesterday.
