We have a weather warning in place until 9pm tonight for heavy showery rain through the East Midlands in particular.
Tonight, the torrential showers continue further east giving low cloud and poor visibility.
The East Midlands can expect 10-20mm rainfall from the heavier showers, maybe as much as 40mm from the more torrential downpours causing surface water flooding.
Through the early hours the rain starts to ease and by the end of the night we're left with a few showery outbreaks in the SE. Odd showers at times further west, but on the whole, drier and clearer here.
Lows 11c in clearer slots, nearer 13c under cloud.
The weather starts to perk up from tomorrow which is good news as there is a lot going on over the Bank Holiday weekend, the last Bank Holiday before Christmas.
It will be a cloudy start on Sunday, but brightening up through the day.
Odd sharp shower into the afternoon, most likely further south, tops 22-23c and feeling better than today, not as humid.
We can expect a repeat performance for Bank Holiday Monday.
