Autumn begins this Sunday but do not give up on Summer as we still have warm temperatures and sunshine to enjoy. A ridge of high pressure dominates the weather and we also have various weather fronts crossing the country. These are fairly weak and will do little more than bring cloud and light rain.
This morning started with lots of low cloud and some dense fog patches in Lincolnshire. This is now melting away and leaving some sunny spells. There will be cloud but in the sunny spells it will feel pleasant with highs of 22c.
Tonight, there will be some low cloud. Generally though, expect a fine, dry night and a mild one too, certainly not as cool as the past few nights.
Tomorrow, expect a sunny start especially across the East Midlands and Eastern parts of the West Mids. Cloud will build through the afternoon turning the sunshine hazy. The breeze will pick up but it will still feel warm at 22c in the East and 20c in the West.
Cloud will thicken and lower tomorrow night bringing drizzly rain and setting up a grey, damp start on Friday. It will be breezy, too. Things will brighten up through the day before we see more rain overnight into Saturday.
Saturday will start damp and dreary but turn out dry and bright. It will feel noticeably fresher than of late.
So far, Sunday looks dry but cloudy and cool.
