High Pressure has a firm grip on our weather over the coming days keeping it settled and warm until we get to Friday when a cold front will drag cooler air and unsettled conditions from the North.
For the rest of today we can expect above average temperatures at 23c and sunny spells. In the East Midlands the cloud will build a little after a very sunny start. In the West Midlands the sunshine will appear after a cloudy start! The wind will remain light.
Tonight will remain dry and we will enjoy a bright, fine evening. Temperatures will drop a little lower than last night at 9c. In the West Midlands there may be a few mist patches with the clear spells and light winds.
Tomorrow any mist will be quick to clear and we will enjoy sunny spells across the region. The afternoon will be even brighter with blue sky and sunshine for many locations and temperatures will climb rapidly to highs of 25c. The average for this time of year is 19c!
Thursday will remain dry, sunny and warm before it all goes wrong on Friday. A cold front will pull in cooler air, cloud and rain. By Saturday it will also be windy. You will notice a big drop in temperature from the scorching 25c tomorrow to around 16c on Friday.
