A man has been jailed for six years after police found a gun hidden in his pants.
34-year-old Malachi Lawrence was arrested last month when officers raided his home on Wood Lane in Bartley Green. Police found a cannabis factory, ammunition and a stun gun.
When Lawrence was searched officers found a loaded handgun in his pants.
He pleaded guilty at Birmingham Crown Court on Thursday 26 September for possession of ammunition and a firearm and a further offence of possession of cannabis.

We executed the warrant in response to community concerns about drug dealing in the local area. The message to others is clear, we will respond to the concerns of the community about drug dealing and anti social behaviour.
The recovery of the firearm is clearly significant; it is one less illegal held firearm on the street and is no longer a threat to the community. The sentence of six years imprisonment further reinforces the gravity of the matter. There is no excuse for the possession of any handgun.
