In it to win it: Lottery ticket price doubles

From today if you want to win it, you will have to pay twice the price. The cost of a lottery ticket has doubled from £1 to £2.

To mark the launch, the National Lottery got together with some of the region's lucky winners to float a set of giant Lotto balls down the River Severn near the Ironbridge in Shropshire.
