A yellow 'Be Aware' weather warning is in force with 15-20mm of heavy rain falling in places during the afternoon. 20-30mm rain is not out of the question. Localised flooding is possible.

The heaviest rain pulls away Thursday night, but the east of our region hangs on to a few showers on Friday from the tail end of that front, especially on Friday morning. Cloudier further west, but drier. Things should improve by the afternoon though and the weekend.
