Expect cold and cloudy weather across the region as we head into the evening, with temperatures dropping to zero in the east.
Moving into the early hours of tomorrow, there will be the odd clear spell which means fog patches will linger for the morning commute, lasting well into late morning in some parts.
This will lift by lunchtime, making way for increasingly sunny weather throughout the day and plenty of lovely, hazy winter sunshine.
Temperatures will reach as high as 9C in the West Midlands.
As for the rest of the week, it will be mostly dry and bright on Thursday, with cloud and rain spreading across the region overnight into Friday.
It will remain unsettled throughout Friday, but will get drier and brighter on Saturday.
