Air pollution continues to be high across the Midlands. A southeasterly wind is importing Saharan dust from African and pollution from European cities. However, things will improve over the next 24 hours.

A weather front will move northeastwards this afternoon and evening bringing rain and switching the wind direction to a southwesterly. This will clear the air and lower pollution levels by Friday morning.
